Wow, it’s been a while since I last posted here!
I just dropped off some new items at Black Alice last week, but because Black Alice was at Streetfest with some of my items, many have already sold!
Here are some of the things still left at the store - be sure to go down and pick them up fast if you’re still interested in any of these!

I had a great time at the flea market yesterday!
GOHD Books (GOHD stands for the owner’s name - Diana Goh) is a beautiful, cosy little place tucked away in Little India. Remove your shoes and go right into a carpeted space, with shelves of books from eclectic authors such as Primo Levi to Grahame Greene, from books on General Tactictus to the Kama Sutra. The books here are all carefully handpicked by Diana for her customers. Prices are really reasonable too, from $10-$20 per book.
Cushions are strewn all over the floor for readers to lounge on, and Diana plays some pretty cool music for you to relax too while you’re browsing. Diana is a happy, crazy girl who loves books and will chat to you at length about them.
Wai (my great, uncomplaining assistant) and I had the good fortune to meet some other great people who had set up store at the flea as well - intelligent, witty and very warm people who were brought together by this flea. To be honest, we didn’t really sell much, but the experience was very fun, and I’m glad I was given the chance to meet them.
I’ll be sure to pop by GOHD Books the next time I’m free and want some books to browse.
The little table I set up, packed with Mint Days goodies. There are a lot of items which I made specially for this event which I didn’t put up on the site yet, so I’ll be putting them up soon.
Wai was sneaky and took this shot of this sweet-looking couple who set up store selling some very beautiful canvas paintings.
Wai snapped a picture of me browsing a book while lounging on the cushions.

Recently, I just started a 365 photos thing on my Flickr called “Daily Inspiration”. I’m currently into Day 4, and I’ve started with colours.
In particular I’d like to share Day 1’s colourway - Mint x Pink, because it was the inspiration for the whole site.
1. mint green clay roses, 2. pastel cuppies, 3. aqua and pink, 4. Butterfly mint cupcakes, 5. rose cupcakes, 6. Baby the Stars Shine Bright Gingham Rose Ribbon Print (mint), 7. pastel de fresa, 8. Pink Porcelain Rose, 9. German Trivet, 10. Planter full of lace, 11. MInted Rose Locket, 12. Victorian Cone Confection *Tussy Mussy* Shabby Chic/Romantic *Tussie Mussie*, 13. 820-3329 レディローズワンピース, 14. Mint Vintage Inspiration Tag, 15. earrings / Ohrbaumler "MINT / PINK", 16. garden party earrings in mint and pink
Created with fd’s Flickr Toys.
To be honest, I started out not liking green. It wasn’t until pretty recently (last year? two years ago, maybe?) that I started really falling in love with mint as a colour. It was a lolita dress by Baby the Stars Shine Bright that sealed the deal for me, with its beautiful combination of rose pink and mint. You can see the print in the mosaic above (picture 6)- it’s called Gingham Rose. Thus started my minor obsession with all things mint! I really love the colour now, and especially the colourway of mint and pink.
I’m enjoying myself with different colour combinations so far, and in the process of searching for pictures for the inspiration board, I explore and find many wonderful photos on Flickr. All in all, a pretty fun exercise, I hope I can keep it up for the year!

They’ll be bringing with them beautiful lolita goods, so be sure to watch out for them if you’re going to be at the convention. Here are some pictures from Supanova Melbourne.
